We are currently seeking a Nationwide Medical Technology Consultant. Qualified candidate will perform investigations, analysis and report preparation into claims of medical equipment malfunctions, incorrect use of medical devices, medical device design failure, interference with or from other devices, patient and hospital safety, installation issues relating to medical equipment (such as MRIs, Cat Scans, Cath Labs, ICU monitoring) emergency power generation, and other related claims or issues occurring in various healthcare arenas including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, long term care facilities, surgery centers, dental facilities, and the at home healthcare setting.In return for your talent and effort, we offer our full-time employees a competitive benefits packageincluding medical, dental, vision, life, disability, employer-matching 401(k), a flexible work schedule, and opportunities for advancement.


Duties consist of investigating and analyzing medical equipment malfunctions for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes. Active involvement in the Recall process, infection control activity concerning medical equipment, investigation of reported incidents involving medical devices, and proactive incident prevention programs is desired. The ideal candidate will have also served actively on the following committees: a) The Environment of Care Committee, b) The Medical Equipment Planning and Purchasing Committee, c) Hospital Design/Unit Renovation Planning Committees. Additionally, the individual will have working knowledge of standards and regulations as published by the FDA, CDC, NFPA, AAMI and state and local agencies. You must be able to prepare oral and written reports that document causes of failures and recommended remediation. Be able to provide opinion and expert testimony.


  • Master of Science in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license a plus or have already passed the exam and hold a valid EIT certificate
  • 10 years of progressive experience in a major hospital setting
  • Minimum of 5 years of Progressive experience in a Clinical/ Biomedical engineering department
  • You must possess strong communications skills and be able to deliver presentations to clients for the purpose of both litigation/support and marketing
